Aardenburg testing has published a report about the fading stability of the Canon Lucia and Epson K3 and the newer HD inks with these results :
Canon Lucia inks perform the best, and the Epson HD inks perform much better than the previous generation K3 inks.

Hi all, Does anyone have any idea about this printer.. I have a cart & refilled it .. It Printed once but now the ink light just keep flashing but wont do anything else, Even from the driver.

They are HP 78 cart's but have a IFRD on them so you have to buy the PRF38ml,

Someone told me you can remove the IFRD from the printer and can use the HP78 ink but I don't know how to,

Is it worth me buying a new PRF38ml & see if I can use this and see if it will unlock the refilled in ?

Fastest Wireless Printer - Recommendations?

Hello all! I have a unique use case that I am trying to solve for:

I have a web-based program that identifies a Hotel Guest from a list when they drive up to a security gate for a Hotel property. When the Guest is selected in the program using a mobile device, there is an email alert that gets sent out to the front desk employees at the main property that this specific Guest has arrived. However, I would also like to be able to have that email sent to a wireless printer at the security gate...

I want to attach a photo to a piece of MDF. The MDF is cut and routered and painted with semigloss white.

I would also like to coat or cover it somehow so dust can be wiped off.

I would like it to look nice and semi loss or flat.

Any suggestions?

So far I have come up with Scotch Super77
Thanks!

Drying time for black and white prints

I searched for this topic to no avail so ..... I'm aware of opinions/facts that suggest at least 24 hours drying time for most prints. How about for 13x19 b&w matte prints using dye inks. My b&w prints consist of large areas of pure black. I have been laying them out to dry for a day or so and then adding them to a boxed stack of previous prints - lets say 50 to a box. Should I inter-leaf with thin sheets of acid-free paper? (This one got me thinking about paper texture transference onto the...

Canon Pro-10 or Epson P400 or ET-7500

My Epson XP-950 factory refurbished printer finally died on me so I need to get a replacement. I think I narrowed it down between the Canon Pro-10, Epson P400 and Epson ET-7750. Can I have advice which one would be best for me. Below is a list of priorities in order of importance. I know all these three printers will have a print quality I'm happy with. I'm open to suggestions outside of these 3 but these hit the price range I'm looking in.

Ricoh GX e5550N automatic cleaning problem

Hi there,
is there a special trick to reduce these automatic cleaning procedures? One time in Mai 2018 I didn't switch this printer on a long time and he did a limitless automatic cleaning procedure (I switched if off, otherwise he would empty all my cartridges even more, I got 50% less or so). I wrote down the percentages and can ensure he really cleans too much in my opinion.

Best regards,
furziger

Did I just refill my printer as instructed by the OEM ?

My first inkjet was a Canon BJ10ex. An amazing portable printer that used a spiral shaft to both support and move the printhead. Printing a single page cost a large amount of money though, so I would only print what was absolutely necessary. One day I read a magazine article which suggested that I could refill this printer with pen ink and alcohol. It worked, and I started printing a lot, both important and silly stuff, until the printer broke.

Some years later, I bought an HP2000C for my...

My HP officejet 7500A MFP just keeled over and I need to replace it. My main task is printing A3+ transparency sheets. I am using a special paper and pigment ink will not work. It must be dye ink. I can't seem to find an off the shelf A3 printer that uses dye inks !! the all seem to use pigment inks now. I must be going mad. I'll consider anything... I'm getting desperate!!

Is there an A3 printer out there that will can print using dye inks?

Would you use compatible ink cartridges or refills?

This may be an ancient concern among printer users/buyers but I'm nevertheless raising it again just to know your two cents.

As we're all aware, genuine printer cartridges are very expensive. Unless you have a stable income stream that allows you to allocate budget into buying original cartridges as soon as they run their course, cartridge expenses can be crippling in the long run.

No wonder people prefer to purchase ink refills or compatible ink packs because they get about the same level...

Printer for Büchi B-545

Hello,

We have a Büchi B-545 melting point apparatus that is connected to a Star Leer Model: SP500 Series printer with a parallel cable.
The problem is that the printer writes a lot of gibberish instead of typing what it should be. We have checked the printer settings on the Büchi B-545 device.
I have to admit that my knowledge of the above hardware is very limited.
Can the printer be malfunctioning and should we buy a another printer? Does the printer have to support a specific printer...

Hi guys and gals

I am hoping you can help me. I currently need a new printer and I have been looking for a couple of hours. My eyes are rolling back in my head and they are all looking the same lol. I do not handle multiple choices of any product well and need a little advice ;). I have always been an Epson gal but I am not married to it. My most recent printer was an Epson stylus photo 500 my sister gave me when she upgraded. I love the slides and negative film copy/scan feature it has. I...

Cleaning solution: the ultimate test

Many forum members have enjoyed my formula to condition the sponge of Canon cartridges.

The formula is as follows:

-3 ml propylene glycol (or 2 % glycerol)
-20 ml isopropylalcohol
-distilled water up to 100 ml

The cleaning solution to free up clogged printheads is by adding 20-25 drops of concentrated ammonia to each 100 ml of cleaning solution.

Today I suffered from a tenacious clog in my Epson Pro 3800 in the magenta and cyan channel, caused probably by long term of non-usage and the...

Legacy Inks : How to proceed?

This is something of a commercial post of sorts but bear with me as I'm trying to avoid a sales pitch (as I hope will become apparent).

We've just had a substantial clearout of ink stock for inks that are what I'd now call "legacy" items such as inks for the i9900, iP4200, etc... Some of them are still very much active to a degree but looking at sales and the stock we've pulled from the shelves, it's become apparent that the current stock & pray approach isn't working as it's...

Precisioncolors Shipping Issues Explained....

The cut has come not because of sellers but because sellers are always the place to point to when international shipping goes bad. I've been shipping internationally for over 15 years and I have stopped and restarted before until I had to take the decision to stop again because it was fraught with high risks and costs. Returned packages mailing costs are NOT refunded by the shipping companies and some charge to collect returns.
Furthermore, the purchasers might have been on holidays not...
